Skoolbag

Our School has its own Skoolbag iPhone and Android App to help us communicate more effectively with our parent community. Parents are requested to install our Skoolbag School App. To install it, just search for our school name Mt Carmel School Yass in either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For Windows users search for Skoolbag in the Windows Store and install the app and then find our school. Please note it must be a Windows 8.1 or 10 device.

Contact With the School

Parents are always welcome to visit Mt Carmel School to speak with the Principal, Assistant Principal, Classroom Support Teacher or class teachers. It has been our experience  when open, honest and respectful communication is maintained, any perceived problems are more readily resolved. For practical reasons it is essential that an appointment be made for all such meetings, except in an emergency. The school secretary can arrange an appointment with the Principal or Assistant Principal at a time convenient to both parties. Appointments to see one of the teachers should be made for out of teaching hours, which are before 9:00am or after 3:30pm, and can be done via a note, or by contacting the teacher directly.

Formal home-school contact

Interim reports are sent home at the end of Term 1 which make comment on student work habits and social interactions. Formal reports on student progress are sent home in June and December each year. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to attend Parent/Teacher Interviews towards the end of Term 2. An open classroom is held during Term 2.
