Communication
At Mt Carmel School we value open communication with our parents. We encourage you to read our fortnightly newsletter, the Carmeletta, to stay informed of what is happening at Mt Carmel. Please see the Newsletter tab for the current newsletter.
Our Facebook page is also a great source of information.
Reporting to Parents
Interim Reports are sent home at the end of Term One. These are not intended to be academic reports, but are designed to provide parents with a general insight into the work habits and social skills that students have been displaying as they have settled into the start of the new school year. Formal Parent-Teacher Interviews are also held at this time of year, because we believe that open communication, established early, is critical to a successful partnership in the education of children.
Open Classrooms are held at the beginning of Term 1, and at the end of Terms 2 and 3, to allow parents to view their child's work within the classroom context throughout the year, and to maintain communication wth the teacher. In addition to these opportunities, parents are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with their child’s teacher whenever necessary. This can be arranged by contacting the class teacher.
